Sheraton
The contract calls for the design-construction of a landscaped park, an underground two-levels car park for 1,986 cars, a 66 kV sub-station for Kahramaa (Qatar’s electric power generation utility), two 11kV sub-stations, and a tunnel located under the Corniche road (providing access to the Convention Center).
The contract also includes the design-construction of a maintenance depot and control centre (MSF – Maintenance and Storage Facility) for West Bay’s future light rail transit system (people mover) and two connecting entry-exit tunnels.
The Sheraton Park Project will consist of 73,000 m² public park of exceptional quality, including basins, fountains, children’s playgrounds, cafes and restaurants. Its location in Doha is closed proximity to the sea and the Sheraton and Four Seasons hotels. The Corniche road separates the park from West Bay diplomatic and financial district.
Certain parts of the car park buildings are air-conditioned. Wall, floor and ceiling finishes are of high quality. The project includes about a dozen elevators as well as a freight elevator. And the latest innovation will be - for the first time in Doha - an electronic guiding system that will direct users to available parking spots.
