In line with the BWI-VINCI-QDVC agreement signed in 2017, a follow-up to the joint audit in 2019 was carried out by representatives from BWI, VINCI, and its trade unions between 26-27 October 2021. The two-day audit comprised of a QDVC project site visit to check the working conditions, along with in-person interviews of QDVC workers’ representatives as well as the representatives of a manpower supply agency, and an inspection of the said supplier’s workers’ accommodation to inspect the living conditions.

In addition to the VINCI and QDVC management presentation related to our Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach, the Building and Wood Workers’ International (BWI) took the opportunity to present its mission and actions taken to protect workers’ human rights worldwide, and the International Labour Organization (ILO) shared the positive findings from the pilot project on fee-free recruitment with STS (QDVC’s main manpower provider).

The audit also reviewed the observations highlighted during the last audit and corrective actions taken. A joint audit report will be issued in the coming weeks with findings and recommendations for our continuous improvement.
