The NOH Contract 2 project is the latest contract awarded by Ashghal to our Joint-venture with Bin Omran, a local contracting company specialized in earth and road works. The NOH Contract 2 project is located to the north and west of Doha City and provides a new 47km motorway from Salwa Road [west of the Industrial Area] heading towards North Relief Road, north of Lusail City. Along the route, there are some major highway interfaces as it crosses Dukhan Highway near Al Rayyan Stadium, Celebration Road and Al Shamal motorway.
Our Solutions
NOH2 is connecting local roads and existing highways via 8 interchanges with various types of civil structures designed and built by the project team. These include bridges, viaducts, underpasses and tunnels and will integrate pedestrian and bicycle paths along the entire route.
The project consists of 10 lanes [5 in each direction] for light vehicles with additional collectors/distributor roads. Four separate dedicated truck lanes [2 in each direction] run parallel to the Orbital from Salwa Road to Junction 5 where a 320m long cut and cover tunnel splits away from the light vehicle carriageway towards Junction 12 Dukhan Interchange.
Besides road works and civil works, various utility services are provided such as drainage, a treated sewage effluent network, irrigation, Qatar Petroleum pipes protection works, Qatar Armed Forces services protection/ relocation works, landscaping, telecommunication / electrical works and street lighting.
When completed, the road network will provide access to the existing and planned developments via the 8 interchanges. NOH2 is connecting local roads and existing highways via 8 interchanges with various types of civil structures to be designed and built by the project’s team.

The Journey of Doha Metro project, Red Line South Underground was initiated in June 2013, writing a new chapter in Qatar history. QDVC is the leader of a joint-venture comprising the local Al Darwish Engineering and the Korean GS Engineering & Contracting.
QDVC has been awarded the Transfer packages CP01 (C1, C2 and C3) Project in Lusail City which comprises of roadwork’s and associated services for three separate work areas identified as C1, C2 and C3. The length of road of the C1 area is of approximately 1.6 km, C2 of 450 lm and C3 of 550 lm.
The Sheraton Park Project (SPP) is the Design & Build of a large Public Garden in front of the Sheraton Hotel. This Park is meant to be a landmark in the heart of West Bay, the new business district of Doha, and will be used to host special events such as concerts and festivals.
QDVC has built 4 car parks in the Marina District of the new city of Lusail, North Doha, which will accommodate 250,000 people and around 400,000 visitors per day. The Car Parks is the first infrastructure completed in this new city.
QDVC designed and built a luxury resort Dahlak Island Resort a first project abroad.
Biggest sewage pumping facilities in the Middle East with current capacities of 680 000 m3 per day, the PS70 and PM Project was awarded in 2009 by Ashghal to a Joint Venture comprising in addition to QDVC, Vinci Construction Grands Projets, and Entrepose projects, both subsidiaries of VINCI Group.
